Head of Government: We are concerned today with drawing up a national plan to revive the Moroccan economy

Prime Minister Saad Eddin El Othmani said that the assessment of the economic and social impacts of the "Corona" pandemic has been an obsession for the government from the beginning, stressing that "the concerned and competent authorities have worked to assess these effects and repercussions in a consecutive and sequential manner, as well as the continued issuance of national reports on this situation and developments." .

During his speech, this Saturday morning in an open meeting within the activities of the Sixteenth National Forum for Justice and Development Youth, Al-Othmani stressed that "the government's obsession today is to produce a plan to revive the national economy," pointing out that the government recently held a two-day internal seminar, in which it discussed the recovery plan Economic plan is ambitious.

The Prime Minister added that this seminar witnessed presentations by the responsible ministers of the government sectors concerned with the economic recovery plan, and these presentations included a number of practical proposals with an economic and social impact that aim to improve the living conditions of female citizens and support vulnerable groups, stressing that The Ministry of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform is working today to stock all these offers and proposals.

Al-Othmani highlighted that he carried out a wide consultation process with the various political parties represented in Parliament and not represented in it, and with the most representative professional trade union centers, in addition to conducting consultations with the professional chambers of commerce and industry and a number of other professional bodies, as well as a number of economic and social experts, regarding listening. To the various opinions and proposals related to overcoming the repercussions of this pandemic crisis.

The Prime Minister revealed that many of the proposals included in the memos of the national parties and bodies regarding reviving the national economy and bypassing the repercussions of the "Corona" pandemic were sent to the concerned government sectors, indicating that the Presidency of the Government had reached 150 notes by certain professional societies, alerting them through it. For a number of problems experienced by some professional sectors, as the Presidency of the Government tried to communicate this information to the concerned sectors.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the national economic recovery plan is based on studies carried out by the concerned government sectors or specialized public institutions, or a number of experts, in addition to its reliance on the proposals of the aforementioned bodies, as well as the various demands, pleadings and complaints reached by the interests of the Presidency of the government from various Actors.

Moreover, Al-Othmani recorded that the government is aware that this workshop is a participatory work par excellence, and that mobilizing various ideas and opinions is a very important thing for success in facing the pandemic, and in addressing its economic and social impacts.
