The relationship between the universal and legal, between the religious and positive laws in our culture, all come to the forefront in relation to issues that require further discussion and examination. This process should be accompanied by a new perspective which is capable of generating a new vision that takes us away from the narrow spaces of contradiction and discord to the vastness of harmony and integration.

ثلاث إشكاليات كبرى تواجه الخطابات الدينية في العالم العربي هي: إشكالية الدين والدولة، وإشكالية الآخر، وإشكالية حقوق الإنسان في ظل العولمة. وتمر السنوات والعقود دون أن تفلح الخطابات الدينية في العالم العربي في تقديم رؤى تحظى بالقبول المؤسسي والجماهيري يمكنها أن تقدم لنا حلولا لتلك الإشكاليات. وفي نفس الوقت يتزايد الإحساس لدينا بأننا مركز العالم الإسلامي الذي ينبغي أن تخرج منه الحلول ليقدمها للمسلمين غير العرب. ولم يخطر ببالنا طوال تلك العقود أن هؤلاء المسلمين غير العرب الذين هم أفضل حالا سياسيا واقتصاديا وحقوقيا وفكريا، يمكنهم أن يساعدونا في الوصول لتلك الحلول لقضايانا المزمنة.
